TomTom Start 2

The TomTom Start 2 is a GPS receiver released throughout Europe in April 2010 as an upgrade from the original TomTom Start. Unlike its entry-level predecessor, which only supplied basic navigation and map browsing, the Start 2 features a multitude of advanced functionalities like spoken street names in a loud voice, advanced lane guidance for navigating difficult junctions, and RDS-TMC Traffic compatibility for receiving updated traffic information.

Like its counterpart, the Start 2 relies on IQ Routes technology to calculate the fastest route anywhere and at any time of the day; MapShare technology to allow the user to make corrections as needed; and realistic visual instructions, including replicated road signs, that are easy to follow.
