Mio Moov 310
$245.00
Released March, 2008
The Pros:Large screen.
The Cons:Slow menu navigation. Outdated/inaccurate maps. Slow to link to a satellite.
The Mio Moov 310 is a portable GPS receiver for the car and is said to deliver everything you need in a GPS navigator. It has a wide screen display and comes with pre-loaded maps of the United States. One reviewer points out that Mio decided to get rid of all non- navigation features and concentrate on the GPS aspects of this device.

The reviewer felt that this was good news as things like an MP3 player or photo browser are not necessary in a GPS unit and just add to the cost. The Mio Moov 310 has a sleek neutral look that fits most car interiors. Most reviewers found that the the user interface is easier to use than previous Mio devices. Everything is more accessible directly from the map and to make entering addresses fast, the GPS will guess the city or street name upon the entry of a few letters. The 310 uses software Mio developed in-house and the negative item in the 310 story is that reviewers found the new map animation not as fast and the zoom is definitely slower than previous models. So for a good basic GPS car navigation without the frills, the Mio Moov 310 may fill the bill. Do your homework to compare with other manufacturers.
