The Garmin nuvi 885T automotive GPS receiver is one of Garmin’s premium models. It is a slightly more expensive, upgraded version of the Nuvi 855. The 885T focuses on voice activated commands. A remote control on the steering wheel turns the Nuvi on, from which point all navigation can be done through spoken commands.

It includes preloaded maps and a microSD slot to expand if necessary. Specific to this model is a connection to MSN Direct, which offers live updates of personal travel information, such as flights or gas prices. The 885T can also act as a speakerphone via Bluetooth communication with a Bluetooth mobile phone. Aside from these, the Nuvi 885T includes the standard high-end GPS features that Garmin offers, such as lane assist, turn-by-turn directions, and the ability to save up to 10 pre-planned routes.
