Product Shot 1The Garmin Nuvi 850 is an advanced GPS tool with a bundle of features intended to make the drivers experience easier and overall safer. The main feature separating this GPS from lower end models is the voice activation.

Using speech recognition, the driver does not need to remove their hands from the wheel, or eyes from the road, as spoken commands from the menu options controls the Nuvi 850 and the Nuvi 850 responds with voice directions. The display is a 4.3” sunlight-readable WQVGA colour TFT with white backlight. This model comes preloaded with City Navigator NT street maps and POI’s (points of interest) which can be viewed through 3D Map display. Lastly, the Nuvi 850 is also an entertainment tool, including MP3 playback and JPEG viewing. Battery life, though rechargeable, is 4 hours, and the unit as a whole weighs 6.2 ounces.
