This model does utilize voice prompts when directing the driver to their destination, but it also displays a 3-D map on its 4.3” WQVGA colour TFT with white backlight. What separates this model from the Nuvi 750, is the Bluetooth and FM Traffic features. Using Bluetooth with a compatible cell-phone, hands free calls can be made, and with the FM TMC receiver, the user has the ability to forecast traffic issues or delays. The Nuvi 760 also doubles as an entertainment tool, with MP3 Playback, JPEG picture viewing and FM transmitter. The battery life, though rechargeable, is 5 hours, and the unit weighs 6.2 ounces. Lastly, for security purposes, an anti-theft feature using Garmin Lock protects the Nuvi 760 along with the location of the auto in the event of it being stolen.
