Garmin Nuvi 755T
$500.00
Released August, 2008
The Pros:Lane assist view functions flawlessly & is quite helpful for exiting on interstates. Decent sound quality which can be easily heard at full volume. Fast satellite communication in both city & suburban areas.
The Cons:Somewhat pricey especially since there is no bluetooth in this model. Ads for free real time traffic data. Turn warning distance is often too short.
The Nuvi 755T is part of the high-end Nuvi GPS series released by Garmin in late 2008. While similar to 2007’s Nuvi 700-series, the 755T expands upon its predecessors by adding free (ad supported) lifetime traffic updates.

Another new feature is the lane-assist view, which shows the driver the correct lane one should be in as the vehicle approaches an exit. The lane-assist feature also shows actual road signs a driver would encounter along major highway intersections. The device’s 2D and 3D mapping system is complimented by a 3D building view mode, allowing motorists navigate with greater ease. Compared to the earlier 700-series, the Nuvi 755T also features faster satellite communication and photo navigation, so one can use landmarks for added confidence when navigating. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery should suffice for the average trip, lasting approximately 5 hours.
