The Garmin nuvi 1490T is a high-end, automotive/handheld GPS navigation device. It features a 5", widescreen touch display. Advanced road navigation features include 3D terrain data, HotFix satellite prediction, and free traffic alerts.

Product Shot 2 For pedestrian use, the 1490T supports cityXplorer public transit maps for dozens of North American and European cities, available for about $10 each. The nuvi 1490T also supports standard features like lane assist and spoken turn-by-turn directions. Preloaded points of interest number over 6 million. A microphone and speaker enable handsfree calling when paired with a compatible Bluetooth device. The nuvi 1490T can also calculate the most fuel-efficient route to a location.
