The eTrex Venture HC is an entry-level handheld GPS receiver with 24 MB of internal memory, simple basemap and color screen. The basemap contains lakes, rivers, cities, interstates, national and state highways, railroads and coastlines.

Loading waypoints and routes from the included MapSource Trip & Waypoint Manager software is done fairly simply be linking the GPS to the computer using the included USB cable. Adding map detail from MapSource or other mapping products is done fairly simply as well.
