Garmin DC 40 GPS Dog Tracking Collar

The Garmin DC 40 GPS Dog Tracking Collar is a GPS collar designed for keeping track of running dogs. It’s a standalone collar in that it doesn’t require any additioanl counterweight / ecollar device, but it does need a seperately purchased Astro 220 Handheld GPS.

Regardless, the DC 40 GPS collar is adjustable from 12” to 20” and constructed out of a waterproof, highly visible orange polyurethane material. Featured is a rechargeable battery (48 hours max lifespan), an included GPS receiver that can in fact be connected to any other standard 1” collar, and the ability to provide dog position updates every 5, 10, 30, or 120 seconds. It’s recommended the consumer use the collar provided, however, as it’s designed especially for rough terrain.
