Garmin aera 510

$1,450.00 Released November, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Weather feature well integrated, gives a good idea of the developing patterns. Toggle between airway and highway mode is fast and easy. Touch screen is well thought out - just sensitive enough not to have to double-tap, and icons are large enough that you hit what you're aiming for the first time.

The Cons:No button to be directed to the closest airport while in the air. Weather animation is very slow, can't be sped up. Takes a long time for the weather function to animate.

The aera 510 is a mid-range model in Garmin's higher-end aera line of GPS receivers for pilots and drivers. The touch-screen device offers navigation modes for both flight and automotive vehicles. The aera 510 features a 4.3" widescreen display, and is preloaded with road and topographical maps and databases of private airports and points of interest.
